FUN NIGHT Success!!!

Around it comes every year, Fun Night in our small little town. With Pedal Power Pull at the kick off of the evening. Drew placed 5th in his 11-12 year olds class. Jaden just plain had fun. He was too excited about the inflatables and Barnyard Billie to concentrate hard on pedaling.
We had a little bit of rain concern for about 5 minutes of down pouring, but enough to cool us all off and proceed with the event.

Hats off to all the volunteers, donations, and neighbors to come out and join the fun. One more year successfully completed.

Little League brings out everyone. What a joy to
have the 'elder teens' to join us in supporting their siblings as well as their cousins. It has been a joy sharing in the sideline humor and antics of teens. They are a wonderful perk to our Tuesday and Thursday nights for June. The last game was wash out again for the girls. The boys beat them 18-7. Drew and Jaden both hit one base runs and Drew even got to come into home a couple of times. Jaden has so much excitement when he is up to bat.. he is hopping into form!

Jaden, Elijah & Drew anxiously awaiting some 'sweet loot' from the day. Saw an Awesome motorcross stunt exhibit and lots of community friends! Afterwards we BBQ with some friends and then watched some dancing up at the square. It was a great day for fun, food, and friends.

It Rained , It Poured!!!

Here is what my garden looks like on DAY 4 of being flooded. Needless to say my garden will be a complete replant. However, the iris are blooming beautifully though. Something pretty out there!

Summer Little League Begins!

The boys are off and playing this summer. Sporting black and yellow, they had their first game last night. In this backyard league, they were on the same side this time out and at the end of the game had a 13-0 wash out. Considering that the field was a wash out, they played on grass and had a great time. With the family on the side line we cheered them on.Jaden even made a hit to first base a couple of times with a little extra grace. Drew hit a couple baseline hits and made for an exciting first game.

Beauty and Birthdays

In a busy world one has to take the time and appreciate the beauty amongst the chaos and stress. There is such tranquil and peace that comes from the sunset and celebrating one's life with laughter, good food, and time together. Birthdays rise and set every year like the sun, but oh how we get to "shine" on that special day. What a blessing to getaway with the girls and celebrate "Kristyn's B-day" ~ "shine on" birthday girl! Celebrating life!
